Things happened: Mini Boots Haul

IMG_2698

It’s that time of the month again (nah, not that one) when I find myself needing one product (in this case a blush, since mine broke *cries*), but I end up buying some more stuff…

If there is something that I can’t stop myself from buying is cosmetics. Skin care products, make-up, brushes… Bring it on! And I always seem to find at least one good reason for popping into Boots or Superdrug (which is near where I live; I heard it whispering my name once), which was totally acceptable this time!

After getting sucked into the high-end vortex inside Boots, the first thing I picked up was, ironically, not the blush I came for, but the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 001 Transparent, I mean it’s £3.99, people! This is the third time I’ve had it, so that is saying something! (especially after the disappointment that’s been Benefit’s Hello Flawless powder, find out why here).

Next, I chose the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in 30 Gorgeous Berries, which is not that purple-y in real life, it’s actually a very, very pretty shade of rosey pink mixed with some mauve tones. Gorg!

Now, we have two premiers, as I have never owned anything from Burt’s Bees or Soap and Glory before (I’ve been living under a rock, yes).

I’ve heard so many good things about the Burt’s Bees Honey Lip Balm, that I decided on buying the set with the hand cream as well! Never have I had hands this smooth! Oh, and my lips will probably stay moisturized until the next Easter.

Lastly, I accidentally picked up the Soap and Glory Righteous Butter, the travel size (£2.50!!) on my way to the till… #no #regrets. I’ve never been a body lotion kinda gal, as it usually takes ages for it to sink in and it feels sticky afterwards, but this one is a dream! The sweet scent lingers on for hours and it’s hydrating without being too greasy on the skin. I will think about buying the entire thing for sure after I finish this one.

That’s it, folks!

    1. Thank you so much, Kim!! Ooh, I get that! I actually stopped using blush for like 3-4 months because I thought bronzer was enough. But after trying this one, I realised I missed out big time haha! Thanks for stopping by! x

  1. I also never owned anything from Burts Bees but all my friends say it’s ( especially the lip balm) amazing. And it feels like my lips are always really chapped and dry so I’m glad that you think it’s moisturizing, it gave me the final push to go purchase one. Hopefully it’s as good as everyone says 😀 Thanks for the great post!

  2. I keep seeing Soap and Glory products on beauty blogs and they look so cute and pink. But I’ve never seen them in a store in Australia! Hopefully I come across them soon.

    1. I know, right?! I’ve especially heard lots of things about the One heck of a blot powder so I’m really curious about that one too. You could try and order online? x

  4. Great haul! Burt’s bees lip balm is lovely. I have the mango one. I always wondered about the rimmel stay matte. Have you tried maybelline’s version of this? The dream matte powder? I’ve hit pan on that but it was reformulated. Soap and glory anything smells sooooo goooddd
