My Italian Holiday: A Photojournal

IMG_7828This summer made for a spontaneous trip to Italy, and I was not prepared for the sheer beauty that I encountered over there. The architecture, the people, the nature, the food, the gelato (and the Aperol) – were all straight out of a dream.

I stayed in Milan for a week, but also visited Venice, Burano island, and the Como lake in an attempt to make the most of my Italian getaway. To say that I was taken aback by the charm Italy holds is an understatement.  Oh, and don’t even get me started on Italian men…

So have a look at some of the photos I took while in Italian heaven and immerse yourself in the glorious scenery.

I do have to mention, however, the heat and humidity levels in Italy were off the charts. And pair that with getting over 20 mosquito bites that itch like hell and you’ve got yourself a very irritable Diana (pasta did seem to help with all that though…).

But did you even go to Italy if you didn’t have pizza and Aperol?
