House of Cards reference aside, I know it’s been a while. Amid final year university projects and exhibitions, stress and anxiety, job prospects and reality creeping up on me, I lost myself. But I’m here now, pretending to be ready to take on the world.
June has came and gone, bringing second thoughts, sunshine and sweat, but also good times, excellent skincare and fantastic music.

In terms of music, Kanye West was definitely the most noticeable and hilarious figure in February. From his tweet asking Zuckerberg for a small loan of $1 billion (a Trump reference indeed) to the Wiz Khalifa shade and to Rose Amber’s tweet that still rules the Internet, Kanye was unstoppable this month with his online presence: he just won’t stop tweeting. Not to mention that he titled his album So help me God, Swish, Waves, just to ultimately settle for The Life of Pablo (wth?!), which, apparently, is neither referring to Escobar, nor Picasso, but Saint Paul. And it does make sense, since this album is slightly gospel, like West warned us about.

These days I’ve been thinking about my writing and where I want to take it from here. Interestingly enough, the conclusion that I reached was that I do not know. I don’t know whether my main interest is beauty, music or film. I’m still figuring everything out, but what I do know is that this is my safe haven where I write about myself and shit that I like.
